Chamadumpa Fry(Colocasia Fry)

CHAMADUMPA FRY(COLOCASIA FRY) is a deep fried dish. It goes well with sambar, dhal..
               Chamadumpa is rich in fiber and nutrients, controls blood sugar, has anticancer properties also helps in loosing weight.



Ingredients:
  1. Champadumpa (Colocasia) -  10
  2. Red chilli powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
  3. Salt
  4. Riceflour - 2 tbsp
  5. Ginger Garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
  6. Turmeric - pinch
  7. Coriander(Dhania) powder - 1/2 tbsp
  8. Jeera powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
  9. Curry leaves - spring
  10. Oil
  11. Water

Method:

1.Wash Chamadumpa with water to remove dust and boil them in a pressure cooker with enough water for two whistles.


2.Allow the pressure cooker to release by itself, now drain water and peel the skin.


3.Cut the peeled vegetable into half.


4.For marination take a bowl add Chamadumpa, chilli powder, salt as per your taste, rice flour, ginger garlic paste, tuemeric, dhania powder, jeera powder, curry leaves and mix them.
 Let it marinate for 10 minutes.


5.Heat oil for deep fry and add marinated vegetable, fry on medium to high flame, cook till it turns crisp.


6.Transfer the fried vegetable to a plate(spreading tissue paper helps in absorbing excessive oil).


Finally crispy Chamadumpa fry is ready to serve.
